Atmospher was fitting of this area but the meal was not great. My burger was barely warm and very overcooked. Might have evenbeen a frozen patty. I would have thought for $11 I would get a better burger. Will not return.

Great margarita. Shredded beef chimichanga was outstanding. Local hotel clerk sent me here. I see why. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience here. The atmosphere is very appealing--high ceilings, distressed wood, large bar. The chairs at the tables aren't particularly comfortable, but that's a minor complaint. I had the coconut margarita (huge, great flavor) and sour cream enchilada and both were outstanding.

This place really can't decide what kind of restaurant it is lol. The coconut shrimp tacos were so yummy but the pizza tasted like someone went to put salt on it and the shaker lid fell off. Good if you want verity.

OK touristy place serving touristy Mexican food in a tourist town. Food was good and prices moderate. Had a very attentive waitress. Margaritas looked very interesting but I typically don't in-vibe.

Love love love! A local favorite! Pizza, Ponchos bean dip, and margaritas are our go to favorites! We've had the wings and poppers and both were seasoned perfectly with great crunchy texture!

To start, great atmosphere (barish but totally kid friendly) Next, awesome coconut margarita. Finally, solid menu. I got a burger that was okay... But my wife got a Mexican combo that was very good. They are known for pizza and Mexican, so I would suggest that route.

I grew up eating at this restaurant so was looking forward to eating here while on vacation - the owners have changed since I last ate here 15 years ago. The restaurant is located in a really old building with the metal ceiling tiles I only see in the West and I have always loved the decor! My husband ordered the taco plate with shredded beef. The beef in the tacos was very moist & flavorable, and served with refried beans (which were ok). I originally wanted the coconut shrimp tacos, but after finding out they were frozen, I decided to order something else (nothing worse than frozen coconut shrimp). I had the jerk chicken, which was flavorful, but no where as flavorful as jerk chicken I'm used to having in Florida. It seemed like the chicken wasn't marinated or spiced very much like it should have been. The complimentary chips were really good, however, we prefer a spicier salsa (we eat some really spicy food so this was too mild for us). I have to honestly say we should have ordered one of their pizzas - they used to be 5 star pizzas. I forget our waitress' name - she gave us fantastic service with a lovely smile the entire time.

Don't let the name fool you. Bogarts has the best Mexican food & margaritas. We started with a coconut margarita & a jalapeno. The coconut one is rimmed in toasted coconut that was so good that we asked for a side of it! Jalapeno margarita was just spicy enough to add flavor. For dinner we had chili rellanos & chili Verde. The rellanos were unique in that they were wrapped in a "won ton" wrapper. This light, crispy outside complimented the flavor of the chili which was cooked perfectly(not mushy) and the cheese was semi firm(i think goat) which made the rellano the best I've ever had. Choice of black beans that hinted of cumin or refried & rice. Chili Verde was not too spicy and full of flavor. We come to Bogarts every time we come to Billings!

Don't play it again Sam, not here ever. Like others have said, YEARS ago it was great but like one too many small town eateries these days, they are heavily staffed by young people who are there for the season not a career. Food and service is often inconsistent and they have a real idenity crisis as the menu is all over the map. Pizza, Mexican, burgers. Hell, why not serve some Sushi while you're at it folks? I was willing to give them another try and noticed how the teenage "host" let us stand for ten minutes while he bussed tables, rather than simply taking our names and explaining about the wait. It's been 15 years since the food was good here, and the service is a crap shoot ... which is also a way of describing one's post dining experience on the throne the next day if you do order the Mexican. There's incredibly great pizza and Mexican food on the same block a few doors down so the only reason one would have to dine here is possibly an affinity for all things named after a dead film star, or possibly the inability to nail down the ethnic food of choice you're after. A mall food court would be a better option in that case.

Only ones at the bar when we came in. Ordered a burger basket and blt. 30 minutes later, we get our food. Not. Impressed. I had a better burger at mcdonalds. Maybe the pizza is better? We had to get up and grab our own silverware too..

I remember loving this place years ago. I spent about 6 weeks working at YBRA. This was a regular stop of mine then. On a recent visit back, I had to stop in for lunch. I have always, and still do love the vibe here. A mix of stuffed animals and vintage Bogart pictures everywhere. All wood, and tables scattered about. This was the first place I tried Red Lodge Ales. I fell in love in an instant. The food here is overall fairly average, and the service is pretty lax. I have always gone for the hoagies. I use to love them when I was in college. Now everything seems greasy and blah. Lots of other stuff on the menu as well. Pizzas and Tex-Mex. All about the same quality. A greasy spoon that is a filling and fun place to visit. Though does not live up to the memories I had of the place.

A very classy dinning experience. I am a huge fan of Humphrey Bogart's films, therefore I couldn't help but try dinner at this place! The interior is dimly lighted, with brick walls. It is decorated with Bogart memorabilia and posters of his greatest films. They play classic rock music in the background. They start you off with chips and salsa, even though Mexican food is not their specialty. I have heard good things about their pizzas and burgers, so I tried a jalapeno burger and it was outstanding. It was perfectly spicy and flavorful. My only complaint was that the portions were relatively small for the price you pay. Nevertheless, I would eat here again and get another burger or give the pizza a try!

OK. When you walk into a place and see a menu that runs the gamut from pizza to sandwiches to Mexican, it always makes me worry. Can a place that tries to do so many things do any of them well? Unfortunately, the answer is usually "no," and that is also the case when it comes to Bogart's. We stuck with the Mexican choices. My wife had the chimichanga and was not terribly impressed. I had the taco salad, which was a bit small and uninteresting. If you're looking for decent food, there are a few choices in Red Lodge. I think I'll stick to them in the future.

Decent pizza in Red Lodge. Nice space, too.

Group of nine suffered an insufferable long wait after ordering; my taco salad had no lettuce in it. The wait staff was very apologetic about the long delay, but offered a lame excuse that the "kitchen grill was too small" to accommodate the mid- day rush. I could sense impatience with other patrons, especially those sitting at the bar--many kept looking back towards the kitchen wondering when would they get served. We should have gone to the pizza joint down the street.

We had a feast. Our fault for eating too late but big group for bachelor party so I appreciate the friendly service. Chips are ok but the salsa is spot on with minced onions cilantro and other spices. Mmm. Boneless buffalo wings standard. Jalapeño Poppers are authentic roasted large jalapeños with the cream cheese filling. ¡Muy bien! Steak fajitas, no combos :( but the plate of toppings were fresh and tasty guac and pico especially. Flour tortillas heated on griddle and the billion° skillet had good onions, green peppers and the carne asada are large pieces. Keep them moving so they don't burn and stick. Friend did not like his fish tacos AT ALL. The other guys seemed to like their chimichangas and enchiladas. Full bar was nice, can be loud at times.

This place was very good. Good authentic Mexican food. They also have American food and really good pizza. The inside is neat looking.....very old and rustic looking.

Yes, a Mexican place called Bogart's! Just go with it, you'll be glad you stopped in. I really appreciated the chips and salsa that hit the table as soon as you sit down. The full bar makes a mean margarita served in large martini glasses that hit the spot after a day in the heat!! The menu is Mexican-American with a good kids menu. We found the service to be speedy and friendly. Portions are sizable and plenty of options for the whole family. Great food, great service, great margaritas!!

*MOST OF THE FOOD WAS NOT EDIBLE* This restaurant, located in downtown Red Lodge, Montana, is a hodgepodge of food. It has pizza, Mexican food, and American food. We opted for the Mexican food. My group ordered the grilled fish tacos, breaded fish tacos, chili verde burrito, an chicken fajita burrito. The food was so bad that I am not even going to waste my time and yours with a review. However, just to give you a flavor of what we tasted, there was way too much cumin and salt in these dishes. We didn't even finish our dinner. Perhaps Mexican food isn't the best thing to have in the mountains of Montana...just sayin.

Ok -- it's called Bogart's and I thought -- really, how can mexican food be any good at a place called Bogart's? But my husband insisted we try it -- so I stopped protesting and we went in. The food was REALLY delicious! And this is coming from a girl that was raised in California and owns a villa in Puerto Vallarta -- Bogarts really came through. Particularly the enchildas suizas. OMG. So freaking good. The restaurant is charming, has a very local, old west feel and the food won't disappoint. After a long day driving the spectacular Beartooth Highway -- Bogart's was an oasis!

Wish there was a negative star rating. We used to go to BOGARTS a couple of times a month because we CRAVED their tummy food and perfect margaritas. Yesterday was the first time we have been there in a few years and I hate to say it but we drove an hour and a half to be fed the most disgusting food I have ever been served. It was heartbreaking! I ordered my favorite chicken sour cream enchiladas, hubby had cheese enchiladas and son has traditional with chicken. First, the chicken was brown and completely dried out. I actually had a piece that I couldn't chew through. There was just chicken rolled in a tortilla with sour cream and green sauce on top. No sauce or cheese in the enchilada, just chicken leather. It tasted horrible, the chicken was gross and then I could tell that they had put the cheese on the enchilada then the rice and beans, then they put the whole plate under a broiler to melt the cheese. My beans and rice were broiled too. All crunchy and again, disgusting!! I did show them the chicken, and the waitress did kind of freak out and applogize. They took it off my check. Later that night and the next day, hubby and son experienced Montezumas Revenge. On top of it all, the place is filthy!! I STRONGLY reccomend you avoid this place. So sad!!! Used to be the best!

Bogarts a Montana classic. I ate here growing up and it's good as ever. The service usually leaves something to be desired, (they hire high school students,) but the food is great. Don't miss it if you are in the area, the decor and atmosphere make for a unique experience.
